Book Review: Cyber Warfare – techniques, tactics, and tools

A friend recommended online that ‘Cyber Warfare” by Jason Andress and Steve Winterfeld was good.  After reading it this week I would positively qualify that statement.

First, it is a well written book and worth a read anyone new to the field and looking to put a frame around this whole ‘cyber’ thing, and some good information security elements too.

Second, though, it is choke full of terms, references, and stays at a pretty safe level throughout.  So not very good for anyone in the field for more than few years.  I would say though that I really enjoyed the last 2-3 chapters and would absolutely recommend if you are interested in field that you check it out!
